Styling now is futuristic. (Meaning you will continue to have a future if you wear a helmet.) Flashy colors not only look good, they make you more visible.

 Always a good thing. Helmets nowadays are lightweight, too. No need to break the bank; about $40 gets you a quality helmet.

Safety accessories for your electric bike are a good idea, too. Lights of all types can be added. Headlights, tail lights, lights that flash. Lights in white or red. Lights that mount on your helmet. (See? There's another good reason to wear a helmet!)

Generator Light Kits

One of the newest tail lights has the word "bike" that shows for maximum night visibility. This same light also has turn signals that activate when you lean into the turn. Generator light kits are available so that you utilize your own pedal power.

Other products that increase visibility are lighted valve caps, reflective leg bands, and reflective tape.

You want to keep your bike safe from the bad guys, for sure. Chains, cables, and locks are an unfortunate necessity no matter where you live. Frame locks may work for you if you live in a lower crime area.

These security measures cost as little as $19.95 or as much as $139. Any one you choose is a cheap investment in the safety of your beloved bike.

Need more cargo capacity? (Hanging grocery bags from the handlebars isn't such a great idea.) Baskets can be mounted on the front or the rear of the bike.

They're very reasonably priced, and come in a selection of styles. Trunks, panniers, and bar bags also mean more carrying space, plus protection from the elements. Some panniers even convert to daypacks for maximum usability.

Horns, bells, mirrors, seats, fenders, and other cool stuff can all be had to enhance your
electric motor bicycle. You'll be set for years of safe, practical, inexpensive, transportation. As Mr. Twain says, you won't regret it.
